Fallen Enchantress - Legendary Heroes expansion announced, drops Elemental name

Another expansion will arrive in April, Stardock announced yesterday, ditching the Elemental name entirely in Fallen Enchantress - Legendary Heroes.

Elemental: Fallen Enchantress launches October 23

Elemental: Fallen Enchantress launches October 23

Elemental: War of Magic was disastrous for Stardock. At launch in August 2010, it was buggy, unbalanced, and just, well, a bit bad. A lot clearly hangs upon expansion-turned-standalone Elemental: Fallen Enchantress, then, which Stardock has announced will launch on October 23.

'Fallen Enchantress' Expansion for Elemental Coming in Second Quarter of 2011

In yet another step today in its ongoing effort to improve Elemental: War of Magic and make things right with the fans who suffered through the game's bumpy launch, publisher Stardock offered details on the first of two expansion packs, titled Fallen Enchantress. Both were originally promised to be free for anyone who purchased the game prior to October 31, 2010 but Shacknews has confirmed that the cutoff has been extended for this first pack. Anyone who bought the game before 11:59pm on December 31, 2010 will be getting Fallen Enchantress for free. Exactly how the accounting will work is still to be determined, but Stardock will be using the purchase data from its Impulse distribution network to validate those eligible to get in on this free offer.
