Atari's upcoming racer Test Drive Unlimited 2 is now available for pre-order on Steam, the digital distributor revealed earlier today.
By pre-ordering Test Drive Unlimited 2 from Steam, PC racing fanatics will gain access to two exclusive in-game bonuses: a high-end performance vehicle and an even higher-end performance in-game pullover sweater. Retail players can also get some exclusive goodies for the racer, depending on which retailer they visit. Read more »

After announcing in May that Test Drive Unlimited 2 would be released on September 21, publisher Atari today revealed that the racer has been delayed until the first quarter of 2011, apparently to give developer Eden Games more time to work on its multiplayer.
"By moving the title's release date to early 2011, we will be able to further advance the game and take into account consumer feedback to help ensure we deliver a great online lifestyle racing experience," Eden Games studio manager David Nadal explained. Read more »

In anticipation of Test Drive Unlimited 2's retail debut on September 21 in North America, publisher Atari and developer Eden Games have begun accepintg beta applications for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 racer.
According to the press release, the upcoming closed beta will be performed on PC and PlayStation 3, though the registration form lists Xbox 360 as well. Read more »

The first trailer for Gameloft's remake of Shiny Entertainment's classic platformer Earthworm Jim has arrived, revealing groovy new levels, graphics and four-player co-op.
Earthworm Jim HD boasts revamped graphics and sound plus new levels with novel enemies including a jetpacking granny and a keyboard-playing cat.
An Xbox Live Arcade release will come on June 9, hitting the PlayStation Network following a month of exclusivity. A price has yet to be announced. Read more »

Namco Bandai Partners VP, Olivier Comte, in speaking with CVG has called Ubisoft's always-on DRM solution for PC games "a good strategy" in the absence of an alternative.
This comes just a day after Blizzard co-founder Frank Pearce called the fight against piracy with DRM a "losing battle." Read more »
