Dyad combines the music of David Kanaga with gameplay inspired by racing games. As you "lance" similarly-colored objects, you race faster and faster along a colorful tunnel. It certainly needs to be seen to be understood.
Sony highlighted the upcoming PlayStation Network game Dyad today. Dubbed an "abstract racing game," Dyad mixes in some elements from puzzle games, fighting games, and arcade shooters. Creator Shawn McGrath says he was inspired by the WipeOut series, but aimed to replace racing along a line with combos that reward hitting the correct enemy polarity.
From a technical standpoint, Dyad is looking to impress with 1080p output and 60 frames-per-second. Finally, the plot hints at similarities to the journey of a particle in the Large Hadron Collider -- so make of that what you will. Read more »
