Though no gameplay footage has been released (via Joystiq) for the recently announced Mega Man Universe, some details have been revealed by Capcom's Keiji Inafune at Comic-Con 2010.
The title will most "preserve as much as we can of the classic 8-bit Mega Man feel," explains Infaune. "While allowing players to project their own Mega Man onto the game. We wanted to create a platform where players can play as their favorite version of Mega Man, another Capcom character, or maybe a different character completely. You'll be able to play as the Mega Man of your dreams." Read more »

Capcom has officially revealed that Mega Man Universe -- a title that is no stranger to those following trademark registration -- is headed to the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. The announcement trailer (after the break, courtesy of GameSpot) showcases a trio of Capcom heroes -- including Mega Man, Street Fighter's Ryu and Arthur from the Ghosts & Goblins series -- battling against familiar enemies, suggesting the title will crossover between Capcom franchises.
Sadly, other details are vague, although producer Keiji Inafune seems rather excited, saying "This game will break the mold and challenge the conventional wisdom of what a Mega Man game can be. When fans finally get to see it, I believe they'll envision their most far-out Mega Man dreams coming true." The video promised "Your World. Megafied." Your guess is as good as ours. Read more »
