Donkey Kong Country Unlockables

• Enguarde (swordfish) Bonus

  As you've started this bonus as Enguare, swim continue to swim directly beneath you until you reach a wall, beneath that wall there should be a large swordfish icon, and w/that icon you should recieve at least 2 lives.

• Clam City ~ "K" & Swordfish

  As soon as you pass the 1st clam in the level, swim as far as possible above it. Then swim towards your left, into the wall. There should be the "K" icon and the Enguarde (swordfish) box.

• Millstone Mayhem ~ Spell It Out

  As soon as you've reached the 3rd beaver wheel in the level, there should be a "Spell It Out" barrel directly above the wheel. If you spell out the word "RARE" correctly, you'll recieve a swordfish icon as your reward

• Millstone Mayhem ~ Collect the prizes/ "K" icon

  As soon as you've started the level, notice there's a tire on the ground. Jump on it and go as far left as possible to get onto the roof of the entrance. Then jump again and you should end up in the "Collect the Prizes" bonus. Note: While you're in that "Collect the Prizes" you'll notice 3 rows of banannas. The 1st row will have the DK Barrel at the top, and the 3rd row will have the "K" icon.

• Millstone Mayhem ~ Level Warp

  Shortly after you've passed the 1st beaver wheel in the level, there should be an opening in the land. Jump down into the opening, and you'll end up in a barrel. The barrel will force you up in the air. As soon as you've been launched, jump towards the left to get onto the left roof. You should end up in the Level Warp.

• Stop & Go Station ~ Level Warp

  As soon as you've started the level, turn left and enter the cave. You should automatically end up in a Leve Warp.

• Mine Cart Carnage ~ Level Warp

  As soon as you've reached the 1st barrel in the level, jump OVER it, but stay as close to the land as possible. There should be a "Level Warp" barrel.

• Coral Capers ~ Level Warp

  As you begin the level & continue to swim, you'll reach the 1st octopus in the level. Swim beneath it, and there should be some bananas. While you're in that banana environment, swim to the bottom right corner and into it. The Level Warp barrel should appear.

• Milestonem Mayhem ~ Winky

  Once you've reached the 6th beaver wheel, nothing there's a stone floor square above it. Jump on it and continue moving right untinue you've reached Winky's box. Jump on it.

• Snow Barrel Blast ~ Stop The Barrel

  Just as you have started the level, jump on top of the igloo entrance and wait for the vulture to approach you. Once it shows up, jump on it and jump straight up (from the igloo). You'll end up in a "Stop the Barrel" bonus and have the chance to receive the golden frog icon.

• Winky's Walkway ~ Level Warp (Monkey Mines)

  As you've started the llevel, continue moving until you've come across the 3rd & 4th vultures (They'll be flying up & down) Notice Winky's box above the 2 vultures, and jump on one of the ostriches to reach the box. Once you've jumped onto Winky, Jump to the top left of the screen and you'll end up in a "Level Warp" barrel Note: If this is the 1st time you've entered this Level Warp, there should be a camera as well.

• Ropey Rampage - Level Warp

  Just as you've begun the level, continue walking on the lower level of land until you've reached the end of that path. At the end of the path, jump towards the 1st red flower, but stay as close to the flower as possible. As you start to fall below the red flower, there should be a "Level Warp" barrel.

• Ostrich - Extra lives

  Once youve gotten all 3 golden ostrich icons you should end up in a Bonus area. Fly to the right until youve gone as far right as possible. Then climb up the wall, fly over it, & there should a large ostrich that will allow you to get more lives. Note: If this is your 1st time in the Bonus Ostrich environment, then there should be a camera along w/the large ostrich

• Hero mode

  Finish the game with a 100% rank. Begin your new game and pick two player mode to access the HERO MODE option. In this mode, you play as Diddy Kong only, with a new costume. There are no Donkey Kong Barrels, Checkpoint Barrels, and pictures.

• In-game reset

  After pausing the game, by pressing Start, push Select to exit the current level. You can only do this with previously completed levels.

• Slip & Slide Ride ~ Spell It Out

  As soon as you've gotten to the 4th rope in the level. Travel down it until you've come across that little bit of land between 2 bees. There should be a barrel on that bit of land. As Diddy Kong, grab the barrel and hold on to it until you reach the bottom of the rope. Throw the barrel into the wall to your left. You'll enter the "Spell It Out Bonus".
