Square Enix is giving a taste of Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy next week, in the form of a paid prologue. Titled "Dissidia Duodecim Prologus Final Fantasy," the game will go on sale for $2.99 on the PlayStation Network on March 15.
The prologue includes a Story mode starring Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII, and quick battles in the Arcade mode. As incentive, players can unlock items in the prologue that will carry over into the main Dissidia 012 game. Plus, simply purchasing the prologue unlocks Aerith from Final Fantasy VII as an Assist character. Read more »

Square Enix sent word today that its fighting-RPG crossover Dissidia 12[duodecim] Final Fantasy will release on March 22. The PlayStation Portable game is a sequel to last year's Dissidia Final Fantasy, which was a modest critical success.
The sequel promises new roster additions like Lightning, Kain, and Tifa, new game modes, and a title that actually manages to out-crazy its predecessor. Read more »

THQ has set a release date for de Blob 2: February 22, 2011 for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and DS. This will also mark the series' debut on HD platforms as the first game was exclusive to the Wii and DS.
Not content to just make the jump to HD, the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of de Blob 2 will also support 3D. The PS3 throws PlayStation Move support into the bag, as well. Read more »

Publisher THQ has provided an updated glimpse of its release schedule across the next two years, revealing new release dates for some previously announced sequels.
In particular, the latest Red Faction and Saints Row have swapped released windows--destruction-centric shooter Red Faction 4 is now due before April 2011, while the open-world gangbuster Saints Row 3 is due to arrive before April 2012. Read more »
