The Wii remake of Capcom's Dead Rising packs more than just motion-sensitive controls and fewer on-screen zombies--it's got Japanese rockers GaGaGa Special! At least, that's what I took away from this game-styled video for the song "Dead Rising."

Capcom today confirmed a February 27 North American release for Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop, the Wii remake of its zombie-massacring Xbox 360 title Dead Rising

The Games Convention is starting in Leipzig, Germany today and that means plenty of new game media and possibly a game announcement or two.
Starting things off are these Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop videos, showing the Wii port of Capcom's "zombie paradise" action game. The first video has only gameplay footage, the second video serves as a trailer.

As Capcom readies the Wii edition of its zombie-slaying action title Dead Rising (360), the publisher has begun hinting that more Dead Rising titles are on the way, including a possible PlayStation 3 release.
"You haven't seen the last of Dead Rising," Capcom's John Diamonon wrote in the comments section of the official PlayStation blog, responding to a fan's complaint that the original Dead Rising only arrived on Xbox 360. Read more »

Capcom has issued more details and the first media from the Wii edition of its mall-exploring zombie-killing effort Dead Rising, which originally hit Xbox 360 in 2006.
Dubbed Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop, the game is said to utilize a level of interaction similar to that of Resident Evil 4 Wii, allowing gamers to aim and fire guns, swing weapons and shake off zombies using the Wii Remote. Read more »

While publisher Capcom was silent regarding its zombie-killing mall-exploring Dead Rising series at today's E3 press conference, Japanese publication Famitsu has revealed that the formerly Xbox 360-only franchise is heading to Wii.
