In an interview with Gamesauce magazine (via IndustryGamers), legendary developer John Romero laments over the famed Daikatana advertisement in which he claimed he was "going to make you his bitch." John Romero's website has been updated, adding a Daikatana page which features an ION Storm timeline as well as downloads of the Daikatana alpha and Game Boy Color ROMs for the curious. Thanks Robert.

Blues News has received an email from Human Head's Timothy Gerritsen, saying they are in no way related to Daikatana II anymore. Eidos cut them loose in 1998.

For those of you still interested in Daikatana, ION Storm has released a new 1.0 -> 1.2 patch. It's a 46mb download, which is 23mb less than the previous 1.0 - 1.1 and 1.1 - 1.2 patches.

PlanetDaikatana got in contact with TheRomero (even they use it now) who informed them that the list of changes in the 1.2 was bigger than the 6 items originally listed. Also, the source code will not be released because they have no resources to devote to getting it released.

According to the guys at FGN Online the N64 version of Daikatana wont be released in retail at all, they are going straight to rentals at Blockbuster stores nationwide.
