38 Studios has received a lot of attention lately, as the Kingdoms of Amalur developer risks insolvency. In addition to Reckoning, the company was also working on a MMO, codenamed Copernicus. Images of the long-shrouded game have been leaked to web, showing off what the game could be--assuming the studio can stay open long enough.

Having saved Rise of Nations developer Big Huge Game from closure, owner 38 Studios today announced that Electronic Arts will be publishing Big Huge's "epic single-player role-playing game" Project Mercury through its EA Partners initiative.
Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion designer Ken Rolston is leading development of Project Mercury, suggesting that it may be based upon or incorporate elements from Big Huge's reportedly cancelled action-RPG Ascendant. Read more »

Rise of Nations developer Big Huge Games has been saved from closure by baseball star Curt Schilling's company 38 Studios to bolster its original property Copernicus.
The acquisition includes all of Big Huge's tools, technology, assets, properties and works-in-progress--several of which were revealed by media leaked in April.
