According to Eurogamer, Electronic Arts' Command & Conquer 4 is reportedly having playability issues due to its DRM scheme, which requires a persistent Internet connection. The issues are similar to the ones Ubisoft has been facing with the PC version of Assassin's Creed II, which also requires a persistent net connection.

With Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight released in North America today to conclude the long-running 'Tiberium' storyline, the actor Joe Kucan reflects upon fifteen years of playing the RTS series' villain-cum-anti-hero Kane in cheesy FMV segments.
Get the cult leader out of his black robes and into business casual and Kucan takes on a far lighter attitude--"sweet and fruity," he jokes--as he joshes through the interview. Read more »

Command & Conquer 4 developer EA Los Angeles has issued a trailer for its real-time strategy sequel revealing the exclusive pre-order bonus mission 'Night Moves.'
Night Moves is a prequel mission kicking off twelve hours before the start of the main campaign, putting players under the command of a Nod separatist who insists upon assassinating Nod's leader Kane using its iconic 'Obelisk of Light' laser tower. EA Los Angeles has released a new live-action trailer and a handful of screenshots to tease the single-player story for Command and Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight.
Tiberian Twilight wraps up fifteen-years worth strategic, real-time conflicts between the Brotherhood of NOD and the Global Defense Initiative when it comes out exclusively for PC on March 16. Read more »

The latest single-player-focused developer diary for EA's Command and Conquer 4 - Tiberian Twilight explains how the latest chapter in the RTS-warfare series implements a class-based system, allowing players to approach the game's battles using a variety of different strategies.
Player progression is set up to allow players to easily switch between the game's different class types to try out different abilities and tactics. The game's developers also discuss how both the GDI and NOD will give players a unique perspective on the events of the story as they unfold. Read more »

"What class will you choose?" asks this Command & Conquer 4 (PC) trailer. Regardless of NOD or GDI , you've got the same three options: Offense, Defense and Support.
As for why you'd want to choose one class over another, the trailer doesn't really specify. It's focused more on pretty moving pictures than a detailed breakdown, presumably to make you want to play and find out for yourself. Read more »

Don't want to wait until March 16 to play Command & Conquer 4 PC? No problem, as Electronic Arts is apparently on a beta kick and launching multiplayer betas of both EA LA's impending strategy game and DICE's Battlefield: Bad Company 2 PC today.
The five-versus-five Command & Conquer 4 multiplayer beta is "PUBLIC and open to anyone and everyone around the world," going by the game's official site. Read more »

Hot on the heels of frosty new Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight screenshots yesterday and last week's news that the storyline-concluding PC real-time strategy will hit on March 16, 2010, EA Los Angeles has released the first C&C 4 gameplay trailer.
On display are the mobile bases new to the final chapter of the Tiberium saga as well as the higher end of the tech trees, not to mention plenty of big explosions. Fans hoping to see cheesy live-action cinematics can always rewatch the first trailer.

EA Los Angeles has today announced that its story-concluding PC real-time strategy Commander & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight will be released for PC on March 16, 2010.
The pre-order bonuses of early beta access, a copy of the orchestral soundtrack, and an exclusive bonus prequel campaign mission were also unveiled. GameStop pre-orders will not include beta access but to make up for the loss, online pre-orders from the retailer pack an autographed photo of Kane himself, the actor Joe Kucan. Read more »

With TiberiUM set to render Earth uninhabitable within years, it's no surprise that this new batch of Command & Conquer 4 screenshots hit all our favourite post-apocalyptic notes, showing a location named Junktown, a barren brown landscape, giant broken pipes and even a Thunderdome of sorts--well, a lightning dome, perhaps.
