Microsoft has announced this week's Xbox Live discount deals, all centered around a mutant theme. The sale ends July 4, so you can ring in Independence Day with monsters and martial arts reptiles, just like the founding fathers intended. It's in the Constitution somewhere, look it up.
Each of the titles is 50% off, but the prices vary. The sale on Turtles in Time Re-shelled supposedly lasts through July 4, but previous reports claim that an expiring license means the game will be pulled on June 30. If you're interested in "kicking some shell," you might want to jump on that discount toot sweet. Read more »

Comic Jumper: The Adventures of Captain Smiley was compelling evidence that the team at Twisted Pixel are two sandwiches short of a picnic. It's over-the-top, insane, hilarious, and a lot of fun.
To further prove the entire team is off its medication, Twisted Pixel have released the Comic Jumper soundtrack for free. You can download it now on the dev's official site. Considering the dire financial situation Smiley and his pal Star are in during the game, we expected the pair would force Twisted to charge a few bucks for the game's fantastic tunes. Microsoft has just revealed a new Xbox Live Arcade promotion, akin to the recently concluded Summer of Arcade.
The Xbox Live Arcade "Game Feast" begins September 29 and runs until October 20. Included are Twisted Pixel's latest title Comic Jumper, Team Meat's remake Super Meat Boy, Dark Energy Digital's Hydrophobia and Pinball FX 2.

Indie developer Twisted Pixel has unleashed its E3 media blast, sending out a gameplay trailer and a round of screenshots for Comic Jumper as well as word that the comic book beat 'em up also unlocks bonus levels for its explosive platformer 'Splosion Man.
The lengthy gameplay demonstration trailer is set during the Silver Age--one of several comic book eras Captain Smiley will jump into--and shows our hero's struggles with the draconian Comics Obscenity Commission, not to mention an animated dinosaur skeleton. 'Splosion Man and The Maw developer Twisted Pixel has revealed its latest side-scrolling comic action caper, Comic Jumper, in style.
No fast-cut montages and 'bullshots' here, no no, TP offers a selection of screenshots, sound and music samples, concept art and a full ten-minute play-through of the demo it'll be showing at the PAX East festival later this month. Now that's how you do it. Read more »

Twisted Pixel, developer of 'Splosion Man, has announced its next game Comic Jumper, touted as offering as "A new style of gameplay" with not only jumping but shooting too.
An announcement trailer explains Comic Jumper will shift visual styles as doofus hero Captain Smiley enters different comic books to "alter their story lines," with looks shown including Powerpuff Girls, Frank Miller's Sin City, and the mega muscles of Rob Liefeld. Read more »
