  At the very beginning of the game you can get a friend to give you a hand. In Arni village at the start is a dog like creature named Poshul. Little do you realize how useful she can be at the beginning of the game. All you need do is proceed from Serge's house directly across the village to the restaurant type place. Go into the very back of the building and check under the bed and behind the curtain. The item your looking for is called a Hekrane Bone and it will be under your items list. Once you have it proceed to the open area behind Serge's house. Here Poshul should be playing with a little kid. All you have to do is give the bone to the fluffy little dog and she will join you on your quest no questions asked. You need not worry, for that is the only purpose of the the Hekrane Bone in the game.
