Here in modern times, we have realized that the best way to release DLC is to stagger it in multiple tiers according to platform, premium membership, eye color, and name. So, Xbox 360 owners of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 with a DLC season pass, you may now download the Nuketown Zombies map, provided you also have hazel eyes and are named June.

Now, really, the correct way to look at the latest annual Call of Duty setting record sales every year is that video games are becoming a greater part of mainstream culture, making them more acceptable. So, really, you should be glad that Activision today announced that, on top of setting new day-one sales records, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has beaten last year's installment to the $1 billion mark. You are, aren't you?

If you play Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on PC, there's a fair chance you've griped about not being able to set the field of view higher than 80 degrees. Good news! Treyarch has pushed out a PC patch which boosts that cap to 90, meaning it will feel less squeezed and weird on your monitor.

As with every entry in Activision's annual FPS franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 needs to accomplish many things. Not only must this year's entry satisfy the existing Call of Duty fanbase, it must attempt to expand that audience, bringing back detractors into its fold. Over the years, would-be fans have been turned off by a number of issues, including Kill Streaks, balance issues with the loadouts, unlocks and rewards.
While the core multiplayer experience of Black Ops 2 has the same basic framework as previous Call of Duty games, Treyarch has addressed many of those issues: revamping the way you customize your loadouts, fine-tuning core components, adding new game modes, and filling out the baked-in competitive aspect of online play.

Activision has gone over the launch-day figures for the latest Call of Duty game and once again declared the latest instalment the biggest-selling yet. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 sold-through an estimated $500 million in its first 24 hours on sale, according to data from market research firm Chart-Track and its own internal sources. You may personally be growing tired of annualised Call of Duty sequels, but the world certainly isn't.

Are you a zombie lover? First of all, gross. Second, good news! Activision and Treyarch have announced that the Nuketown Zombies bonus map has been added to the line-up of Season Pass downloadable content. The content will hit Xbox 360 Season Pass owners sometime in December, so you can make some spirits bright by putting a ho-ho-hole in some undead gray matter.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is heading into the future for the first time, and developer Treyarch went through careful consideration of how much sci-fi might be too much. Even with all of the future-tech additions, though, a much larger shift comes to the game's multiplayer comes in the form of Score Streaks, which are replacing Kill Streaks. While experienced CoD players can still enjoy their high kill counts, Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia explained how it makes a more welcoming multiplayer environment.
