CDV has released a Breed patch, fixing several singleplayer and multiplayer issues in this recently released sci-fi shooter. Thanks 3D Gamers.

With their first action game Breed about done, the guys at Brat Designs have lifted the curtain on their next project, SOLAR. The new game uses an updated version of the Mercury engine and like Breed, it's a futuristic first person shooter.

'SOLAR' is a tightly focused, near future, battlefield gaming experience allowing both single player and multiplayer modes over vast terrains, with up to 32 players in a game. Single player games use multiplayer maps with the addition of advanced AI bots to simulate multiplayer gaming styles. 'SOLAR' has two warring factions, each with it’s own set of weapons and vehicles, varying from trench mortars to long range bombardment cannons with payloads of neurotoxins. Transportation in 'SOLAR' varies by faction, each with a unique range of land, sea and air units, providing varied game play choices.

Game Informer has a Breed preview, offering hands-on impressions based on playing a preview build of the sci-fi shooter. The game will be in stores next month.

According to publisher CDV, the sci-fi shooter Breed will finally be in U.S. stores March 23, following the February 20 release in Germany and the March 19 release in the U.K.

GenGamers is the latest site to feature a Breed Q&A. CDV's Sven Schmidt is asked about the team working on the game, the story, characters, weapons, use of vehicles, music, and the release date.

The guys at Gamers Hell have a new Breed Q&A this morning. An unnamed person at Brat Designs is asked about the game's setting and plot, the vehicles, the non-FPS gameplay and the game's multiplayer features.

The CDV Software website has this news post about the release of the sci-fi FPS Breed. The release has once again been delayed, this time to early November. Extra time will be spent on the game's multiplayer features. An updated singleplayer demo will be available in October, and a multiplayer demo will be released once the full game is out.
