The Deep Shadows website has word that a 2.0 update for Boiling Point is in the works. There will be more bug fixing, along with improved car dynamics, improved passer-by behaviour and upgrades to repair weapons. Thanks Blues. Update: actually the patch was in the works last month, and has already been released for the Russian version. EU and US updates are coming soon.

Fan site Boiling-Point.net reports that the action game Boiling Point from developer Deep Shadows has gone gold, and will be in stores May 20. The game hasn't been in the news at all lately, but hopefully that isn't an indication of its quality.

New on Boomtown today is this Boiling Point Q&A, talking briefly with Deep Shadows founder Sergey Zabaryansky about his company's jungle based shooter. Topics include getting around in the huge game world, the factions in the game, your actions changing the outcome of the game, and engine technology.

A new set of Boiling Point screenshots has been released, showing a couple of locations from this upcoming action game with RPG elements. The game is scheduled for a spring 2005 release through Atari.
