The latest racer from Project Gotham Racer and Geometry Wars developer Bizarre Creations is due on North American store shelves November 3--a date that retailers have been listing for some time--publisher and studio owner Activision today.

Said to make "racing 'fun' again," Blur sports 20-person online and four-player offline races on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, with users able to customize the game to provide anything from a power-up fueled Mario Kart-style bout to a more realistic experience.

Dragon Age: Origins Packs Free DLC in New Copies; Bonus Mass Effect 2 Item Detailed

Developer BioWare today revealed that those who buy a new copy of Dragon Age: Origins, be it in standard or collector's edition form, will be rewarded with $15 worth of free downloadable content plus armor that can also be used in Mass Effect 2.

The downloadable Stone Prisoner add-on--free with a new copy, otherwise priced at $15--allows players to add the "mighty stone golem" Shale to their party and is said to bring "hours of additional gameply" though new quests, environments, and items. Read more »

Dragon Age Trailer Introduces Character 'Wynne'

Good old Wynney. She's a mentor, a friend, and a spirit healer. She may not exactly be the life of the party, but judging by the sparkly explosions, she's not going to be entirely useless in a party, either.

Dragon Age: Origins Officially Delayed

Following indications of a delay, BioWare has now confirmed that Dragon Age: Origins has been pushed out of October and is now slated to release in November.

"Dragon Age: Origins will be released on November 3rd in North America and November 6th in Europe on the Xbox 360 videogame entertainment system and PC," BioWare's Chris Priestly stated. "The PLAYSTATION 3 version will follow later in November." Read more »

Dragon Age: Origins Delayed? (Updated)

Update 2: The delay has now been made official by BioWare. The PC and Xbox 360 editions are now due to hit North America on November 3, with the PlayStation 3 version slated to arrive at some unknown point later in the month.

Update: BioWare has chimed in on the matter, telling Shacknews that it is "still targeting an October 20 release date" for Dragon Age: Origins and adding that "if the release date changes, we'll issue a press release." Read more »

Project Gotham Dev's Blur Arrives in November

Blur, the latest racing game out of Project Gotham Racing and Metropolis Street Racer creator Bizarre Creations, is set to hit retailers at some point in November.

Studio owner Activision confirmed the timeframe in a conference call, but did not provide a date. However, the publisher recently highlighted the pre-order incentives of several North American retailers, all of which currently list the game for a November 3 release. Read more »

Dragon Age Collector's Edition Includes Mass Effect 2 In-game Item

GameStop has posted details on the Collector's Edition of Dragon Age Origins, revealing that the version will include an "exclusive in-game item for use in the upcoming title Mass Effect 2."

Other contents in the package include a tin case, bonus DVD, cloth map, three pieces of in-game content, and an unlockable bonus quest and unlockable character. The PC Collector's Edition costs $65, while the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 tins run $75. Read more »

Dragon Age Xbox 360 Hands-on Impressions: 'She'll Really Do Anything'

One of the lingering questions about Dragon Age was how it'll play on a console.

Primarily developed for the PC, the game features plenty of World of Warcraft-style action buttons across the bottom of the screen in that build of the game. Porting that directly to consoles would seem a challenge.
