As well as being collected and 3D-itised for Nintendo 3DS in Bit.Trip Saga, Gaijin's whole retro-styled rhythm game series Bit.Trip bit is coming to retail shelves for Wii with new content in Bit.Trip Complete.
Along with the six Bit.Trip games released on WiiWare--Beat, Core, Void, Runner, Fate, and Flux--the Bit.Trip Complete collection will add new content and include bonus goodies. All six are getting new difficulty modes, online leaderboards, and challenges--120 in total. Read more »

Echochrome 2--the PlayStation Move-enhanced sequel to the 2008 original--is launching just in time for the holiday season.
Today on the PlayStation Blog, SCEA producer Kumi Yuasa announced the puzzle title that utilizes light and shadow will arrive on the PlayStation Store on December 21. Pricing has yet to be revealed. Read more »

BIT.TRIP BEAT develop Gaijin Games has announced out of the blue that the promised fall release of the retro rhythm game's PC and Mac editions will come today at 10am PST via Steam, complete with a 10% discount for the first week of sale.

The first chapter of Gaijin Games' chiptune BIT.TRIP rhythm game series, BIT.TRIP BEAT, will make the jump from WiiWare onto PC this fall, the indie developer has told Eurogamer, hoping to one day bring the series to other platforms too. Read more »

Back in November of last year, we reported that Nintendo had launched a pilot program to provide a small selection of free, playable demos for a handful of original WiiWare titles. Pokemon Rumble, Bit.Trip Beat, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord, NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits, and World of Goo all had playable demos during the test period.
On January 31, all five of the the demos were pulled from the Wii Shop Channel. Nintendo of America confirmed with Joystiq today that the WiiWare demo experiment had indeed come to an end. Read more »

This week, the Wii Shop Channel delivers a funky Pong-like rhythm game and an old-school sports games from waaaaaaaaaaay back when. As in, 24 years ago.

Based on synthesized chiptune sounds and a Pong-esque paddle that evokes the Atari age, Gaijin Games' BIT.TRIP BEAT is looking to be one of the more unique titles in the WiiWare library.
The following gameplay video will be far more explanatory than any textual description. Just imagine the option for 2-4 player co-op, and you have it. No release date yet for the arcadey downloadable title.
