A downloadable demo of Eidos Studios Hungary's upcoming Battlestations: Pacific will hit Xbox 360 and PC next week on April 30, publisher Eidos revealed today.
Available from the Xbox Live Marketplace and Games for Windows Live Marketplace, the demo of the WWII sea and air combat game packs one single-player mission from the US campaign, along with an offline-only sampling of two multiplayer modes. Read more »

Eidos Studios Hungary has fired a salvo of new media, offering up a trailer and screenshots from its sea-and-air WWII combat game Battlestations: Pacific.
Allowing players to fight in World War II from the perspective of Japan or the United States, Pacific is slated to arrive on PC and Xbox 360 in the vague spring timeframe. Read more »

Eidos has released two trailers for its sequel to Battlestations: Midway, offering the perspectives of both the US and Japanese factions to reflect the action-strategy title's dual campaigns.
Battlestations: Pacific is set to be released February 2 on PC and Xbox 360.

Command & Conquer 3 developer EA Los Angeles has admitted that it has had a "chronic issue [with product support] for more than four years," and is forming a dedicated support team to try and address the issue.
"I am not as proud of our record in supporting our games after launch. In fact, I'm downright unhappy with that aspect of our business," EALA general manager Mike Verdu wrote on the official C&C site. Read more »

Given that, it's easy to understand why Command & Conquer's Kane is continually plotting, scheming, masterminding and worse: he really has no choice. Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath marks the third real-time strategy game EA Los Angeles has brought to Xbox 360. One of the major claims this time around is that the studio has, at long last, resolved the controls it says were "lauded by critics."

Next week's Xbox 360 release of EA LA's Command & Conquer 3 expansion Kane's Wrath will help the developer "test the waters" regarding standalone game expansions.
While the PC edition of Kane's Wrath, which premiered earlier this year, required ownership of Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars, the cover of the Xbox 360 version boasts that it "DOES NOT require Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars to play." Read more »

Publisher Electronic Arts has passed in two new screenshots of the Xbox 360 version of EA Los Angeles' Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath (PC, 360), due in stores on June 23.
The console release of Kane's Wrath, unlike its PC counterpart, is a standalone expansion which does not require ownership of Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. Read more »

Unlike most World War II titles, Eidos Studios Hungary's upcoming action-tactics hybrid Battlestations: Pacific focuses on sea and air combat over traditional ground-based assault, and breaks one of the long-standing taboos in WW2 games by including an Axis campaign.
"The main goal of Pacific is to create a bigger and better game than Midway, which was just the game from the US side of the Midway campaign," lead designer Botond Szalacsi told me. "I want it to be the whole Pacific experience for the players." Read more »

The 2007 action strategy game Battlestations: Midway will receive a sequel, publisher Eidos announced today. Like its predecessor, Battlestations: Pacific is in development for Xbox 360 and PC.
Battlestations: Pacific contains 21 new units, and a singleplayer campaign with 28 missions covering US and Japanese operations. You'll also be able to use paradrops for offensive or defensive purposes. Read more »
