Awesomenauts confirmed for PC

Awesomenauts, the platforming battle arena hybrid, is coming to PC after all. Developer Romino Games announced that due to fan requests, the game will hit Steam with keyboard and mouse controls "within a month." It will also come to Mac sometime later.

Update - Sony has tweeted that Awesomenauts will launch tomorrow as planned on the PlayStation Network, and will still be free for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Original Story - Publisher dtp entertainment filed for insolvency yesterday, throwing the impending release of Awesomenauts into doubt. The German publisher has also been behind games like Divinity II and The Cursed Crusade, and now is in the uncomfortable position of needing to reorganize or liquidate its assets.

PS+ members get Awesomenauts, Trine 2, Rock of Ages, Castlevania in May

PlayStation Plus members are entitled to a number of games as part of their subscription. In May, Plus subscribers will be able to download the brand new PSN game, Awesomenauts. In addition, members will also get access to Trine 2 and Rock of Ages from Atlus. PSone classics Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Castlevania Chronicles are also included.

This content makes May yet another banner month for Sony's premium subscription service, in spite of the recent loss of Qore. In addition, Plus members get beta access to PixelJunk 4am.

2D MOBA 'Awesomenauts' announced

"Russian monkeys with jetpacks, giant robots, and lots of other mighty aliens" are promised by today's announcement of Awesomenauts from Ronimo Games, the studio founded by de Blob's initial creators after they sold its rights to THQ. The downloadable title's gameplay sounds as unusual as its stylings--a sidescrolling MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena, or DotA game to you and me).
