The PC version of Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed has been marked down to just $5 on Steam as part of a midweek madness sale. The sale will run up to Thursday.

Called the Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut, the PC game features four extra mission types over the console version: archer assassination, rooftop race challenge, merchant stand destruction challenge and escort challenge. Read more »

No longer content with mere weekend sales, Valve has announced that this week will see its digital storefront Steam discount one Ubisoft-published PC title daily.

The promotion kicks off with a 50% discount on Ubisoft Montreal's open-world murder simulator Assassin's Creed, which brings the game's price down to $9.99. That price is only valid for today, Monday, March 23. Read more »

While I found the theatrical cut of Ridley Scott's Crusades Era epic Kingdom of Heaven to be decidedly average, the director's cut was a completely different story, a surprising piece of work that managed to transform a flat film into one of my favorites.
