A new co-op mission will hit buddy shooter sequel Army of Two: The 40th Day with the downloadable content pack 'Chapters of Deceit," announced today by developer EA Montreal.
Priced at $10 (800 Microsoft Points) and packing two new maps, the DLC will see Salem and Rios "stumble upon information that could lead to ending the invasion by Jonah and his 40th Day Initiative army. For this week's fifth Army of Two: The 40th Day video, Electronic Arts today sent over one of the television commercials being used to promote the cooperative action game.
It's one of those fancy computer-generated affairs a la Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2, except that this one is far better suited to a hip-hoppin' headline than those two. Read more »
With less than a week until Army of Two: The 40th Day hits North America, publisher EA is continuing to pump out the trailers, bringing this week's current count up to four.
This time around, we've got a real-life short set to Sum 41's "In Too Deep," which is either the best or worst song to use in promoting a sequel as it states: "just as things were looking up, you said it wasn't good enough, but still we're trying one more time." Read more »
A pair of new Army of Two: The 40th Day trailer give the rundown of multiplayer modes in EA Montreal's buddy shooter sequel as well as a flythrough of the map 'Temple.'
Budding buds can bump fists in a co-op campaign, co-op deathmatch, objective-based 'Warzone,' 'Control' capture and defend and four-player 'Extraction' survival modes--though for the first 30 days after release Extraction will only be available to pre-orderers. Read more »
The real-life adventures of Salem and Rios continue, with the brotastic duo having obviously made their flight to London as they take in the sights and experiences.
What, you may ask, does this actually have to do with Army of Two: The 40th Day, especially as the only in-game footage is hard to see and short-lived? The answer is unclear, but does it matter? Rios and Salem think they're people. Silly PMCs! Read more »
Rios and Salem are back yet again with another real-life adventure, proving that even our fictional fist-bumping, ass-slapping PMCs are prone to everyday airport peril.
The duo's next proper adventure, Army of Two: The 40th Day, lands in North America on January 12 and Europe on January 15. A downloadable demo of the cooperative action game is now available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with a PSP demo due soon. Read more »
The problem with blinging out your weapons is that you only have so many choices. But when it comes to customizing your mask? The possibilities, it seems, are endless. Better yet, you can start designing now, no need to wait for the actual game to arrive.
EA Montreal's Army of Two: The 40th Day. PlayStation 3. Xbox 360. PSP. January 12. Read more »

EA Montreal has revealed the opening to Army of Two: The 40th Day, showing Shanghai before it all goes pear-shaped and stars Salem and Rios must shoot their way out.
While the chums might have gone to Shanghai on mercenary business, that they end up fighting simply for survival might help them avoid theoretical legal hot water this time. Read more »
As indicated by this trailer, Army of Two: The 40th Day's weapon customization options present some very difficult choices. For example, what to use as a suppressor on an AK-47--a DSS Silent Strike Silencer? K03 Bayonet? Kitchen Knife? Screwdriver?
And just what about the paint job? Pimp? Giraffe? Hearts? Fleur-de-Lys? Bubbles? Stars? It's a tough call, but fortunately, EA Montreal's buddy shooter sequel isn't slated to hit PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 or PSP until January 12, so you've got some time. Read more »

Developed once again by EA Montreal and boasting a soundtrack by Watchmen and 300 composer Tyler Bates, Army of Two: The 40th Day is slated to arrive for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PSP on January 12, 2010. Read more »
If you ask me, Salem and Rios are a little old for trick or treating. Then again, were the virtual duo to suddenly apparate in front of me, I doubt I'd have much to say.
In case haven't looked at a calendar lately, Halloween is a mere two days away. Army of Two: The 40th Day, meanwhile, won't hit PS3, Xbox 360 and PSP until January 12.
Think of Army of Two: The 40th Day's new extraction mode as a mobile version of Horde or Firefight. Up to four players will move through four zones, surviving progressively challenging waves of enemy fighters.
You can also think of it as a preorder bonus, as only those that pre-buy the game will be able to play Extraction in the first month of the game's release. Bummer.
Brotastic duo Salem and Rios have once again stepped into the real world. This time around, the two bump fists as they reveal how developer EA Montreal stays on task.
Packing only the bits that have passed the "Steven Seagal test," Army of Two: The 40th Day and its cooperative action hit PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PSP on January 12. Read more »
