The Angry Birds movie is coming in 2016. But, you won't need to wait three years to sate your appetite for more Angry Birds animated content.
Angry Birds Toons is a brand new animated series launching on the weekend of March 16th. The series plans on answering the tough questions like "what makes Bomb Bird so angry" and "why is the King Pig the King Pig?"

You may have noticed that Angry Birds is everywhere. Clothing, school supplies, Halloween costumes, television--the gang at Rovio certainly know how to get eyes on their creations. So as we collectively get ready for some football, it should come as no surprise that the franchise has found a way to wedge itself in that past-time too: a partnership with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Green Day has invaded yet another video game phenomenon. The band will be featured in a new episode of Angry Birds Friends, the Facebook version of Rovio's bird-launching game. The episode will add ten new themed levels, as well as new pig characters inspired by band members. It's perfect for fans who have always dreamed about launching birds at evil pig versions of the American Idiot group.

Sony announced the winners of its 2012 "Gamer's Choice" awards (promotion) today. These will be the 10 games that you can claim steep discounts on for the next week, starting tonight when the PlayStation Store updates. Each one will be discounted 30%, or 50% if you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber.

Rovio's Angry Birds series has made mountains of money, having expanded into animation and merchandising. However, the company is finally readying its next IP, one that won't feature the popular, petulant poultry.
So when can we expect it? CEO Mikael Hed said it is currently in production and "will be out in a couple of months."

The Angry Birds empire continues to expand. Rovio has announced its next Angry Birds game: Angry Birds Space. It will be the fifth game in the series since the franchise's debut in 2009, following Seasons, Rio, and the recent launch of the Facebook game.

As promised, Angry Birds is now available on Facebook--just in case you can't get enough of the suicidal bird bombers on your iPhone, Android device, PS3, etc.
The gameplay in the Facebook version hasn't changed much, but there are new social elements, brand new power-ups, and Facebook-exclusive levels.

Gene Simmons and KISS are the poster children of the term "selling out." You need not look any further than KISS Hello Kitty, which apparently is a thing.
Apparently, Simmons and company are eager to return to games. But don't expect a sequel to the Dreamcast-era game, KISS Psycho Circus. It appears KISS will be collaborating with one of gaming's biggest brands--Angry Birds.

It's a surprise that the prolific Angry Birds franchise has yet to makes its way onto Facebook. That's about to change come February, as Rovio looks to expand its billion-dollar franchise to new platforms.
The Facebook version of Angry Birds is scheduled for a Valentine's Day launch and will offer new features not found in the mobile version of the game. Social is obviously a big focus, as leaderboards will play heavily into the game's design.
