The North American release of Rhino Studios' PlayStation 3 photography game Afrika has gone gold and entered manufacturing , publisher Natsume revealed this morning.
Described by the company as a "visually stunning safari experience," Afrika will mark Natsume's first PS3 release when the $49.99 title hits stores on October 6.

Rhino Studios' long-awaited photography-based title Afrika has finally been confirmed for a release in North America, according to an IGN report.
Publisher Natsume will handle distribution of the title. Afrika was released last August in Japan, and is expected to exclusively hit the PlayStation 3 this year in the States.

Announced at E3 2006 with a short video shown at this year's Tokyo Game Show, Rhino Studios' Afrika (PS3) has been kept under close wraps by Sony. The game is still apparently in development, as Sony recently picked Los Angeles-based composer Wataru Hokoyama to orchestrate the game's score, according to 1up.
The site learned of Hokoyama's involvement through a local Los Angeles musicians' newsletter. The composer's orchestrator credits include 2000's role-playing game movie adaptation "Dungeons & Dragons," starring Jeremy Irons. Read more »
