Although PlayStation 3 users will have to wait until 2011 to see Sackboy return in LittleBigPlanet 2, the adorable character made its way to 3D Dot Game Heroes in a free update released yesterday.

The patch also adds an additional 50 player-made characters to the game from Atlus' "Hall of Heroes" character-sharing hub, fixes a number of game bugs, and allows players to bring weapons from previous saves into the inventory of new heroes using 3D Dot's New Game + feature. Read more »

Right from the beginning, right when you're picking your character, it's already clear that 3D Dot Game Heroes is something special.

You see, the kingdom of Dotnia needs a hero so badly that it'll take whatever it can get.

Oh sure, you can opt to be one of those traditional heroes, decked out in the old-school armor and such, but where's the fun in that? You can play the game as almost anything. You don't even have to be human. Read more »
