Ubisoft has released a report detailing its fiscal Q2, which ended in September, and there is some good news and some bad news.
Starting with the bad news, the internally-developed 1404 A.D., known in Europe as Anno 1404, has been delayed into Ubisoft's 2009-2010 fiscal year, meaning the game will release sometime after April 1, 2009. The French publisher also pushed back an "as-yet unannounced franchise" into the same window. Read more »

2K Games producer and Shack family member Jason Bergman dropped by our forums to announce that the classic 90s tactical series X-COM is now available for purchase on Valve's Steam digital distribution service.

Ubisoft today announced it is working on a sequel in the ANNO series, with ANNO 1404 scheduled for a March 2009 release on PC.
Previous entries in the strategy game series including ANNO 1503, 1602 and 1701, all published in North American regions as A.D. games. Development will again be handled by what was formerly known as Sunflowers, now a Ubisoft studio. Read more »
