4K on the next-gen consoles won't happen. Look at the PC what huge amount of GPU-Power you have to throw at 4K to run games with high framerates. So....not gonna happen. 4K ist still years and years away because for TV you need new codecs beyong mpeg4 and the modulation methods. I dont know why everyone is hyped for 4K. The switch to 4K is still 5-6 years away because no TV station can afford it to send 4K now. Not economical possible with todays technology (new codecs needed).
