Since there was a lot of talk about season passes and the notion of paying for a promise, I thought it was worth letting everybody know that the first batch of Gears of War 3 DLC is already starting to get some bad rep.

Besides already being on the disk (whole other can of worms), the new maps will not be in the mp map rotation, or for use in public Horde matches.

That basically means that the maps will only be available for private matches with friends. So unless you can routinely get 4 buddies together for Horde or 9 other buddies for a full game of MP, the maps probably won't give you much extra play-time.

I'm certainly glad that I haven't paid for the season pass for Gears 3.
