Soundcard speaker recommendations, the sad 2.0 edition.

Moving my 5.1 system into the living room as I never take advantage of it while it's plugged into my computer.

So I'm looking for a set of good 2.0 speakers (sorry sub fans, I hate the box sitting around) and a decent matching soundcard. I game mostly with headphones anyways so these just need to sound good for some music, but they do need to sound quite good.

I'm tempted by these ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836166006 ) speakers, or these (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836116043) as they look cool.

and this card ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829271001 ). Which may be way more than I need, but I hear good things about their sound quality.

I don't need 7.1, but it seems if you want decent sound quality, you buy something with a million and a half channels, even if you don't use them.
