On the one hand, I'm glad they are taking an active interest in improving the game and listening to user feedback. That's a good thing.
On the other hand, 608MB is a huge patch. And it's not as if the game was rushed out the door. They had more than ample time to polish this game before release. I'm getting really sick of developers putting a game out the door with a minimum of testing at the front end, instead allowing the gaming community to act as their beta testers for both bugs and user feedback. If you want beta testers, hire them. Don't make me pay $60 for a game and then make me be your beta tester. I want a finished product when I purchase something.
I'm not saying that the game is bad or that it's any worse than others out there in this regard. It's just a trend in the industry and this is the latest evidence of it.
