No Metro 2033? I wasn't that big on the game itself and wasn't exactly a big hit, but it is one of the biggest eyefuck games since Crysis. If your PC can handle it it is easily the best looking game of the year. Even on my slightly more modest system it looked amazing (no MSAA and no DoF for me). It served the story well.

Great effects as well. The masks, the weather, lighting--lots of polish in the graphics engine. I really felt like I was in a mask crawling around in the bitter cold, though that also has a lot to do with sound design.

Pretty significant snub, but I guess lol PC game.
