So, I just picked up Fallout 3: GOTY from the Steam sale and apparently, it's not supported on Windows 7 and will wind up crashing more often than not. I can't even get past the initial character creation screen without the game freezing on me and forcing me to ctrl+alt+del and end the process.

Apparently, it's not an officially supported with Windows 7 which is a complete load of shit, according to Bethtesda's site :

Somebody please tell me I just didn't piss away $20 on a non-working game. I'm considering petitioning it with Valve and asking for a refund, but I've never had to do that for any game before, ever. I really don't want to go through that whole process. Has anyone ever had to do that before? Is Valve pretty flexible on offering either a credit or a refund for a game? The official Steam page doesn't show any sort of disclaimer or warning about the game being incompatible with Windows 7, so I think I may have a case for it.
