Today's announcement of Top Gear integration, (the awful American version anyway), has reminded me why I think a lot of us like GT5 more than Forza. Forza is like a German supercar. It has more settings in the car than what you find in the Italian super cars. It might have more horse power since the Germans are really good at that, it's interior is more comfortable, the buttons are placed more intelligently and unlike say what you find in a Lamborghini the luxuries do actually work. All that being said the German cars just don't have soul. Italian cars one the other hand come with faults. They may not get around corners like the German cars, they may not place the buttons intelligently like the Germans, and they never make as many as the Germans do but when you drive it you feel passion. They might make a few more misses but when they hit it's wow. GT5 has it's faults but what it gets right it just blows Forza away. It's why despite Forza being a better game I would sooner recommend GT5 to a sim racing fan over Forza.
