This is one of the best games I've played in a while. I was consistently impressed with the graphics, atmosphere, and H.P. Lovecraft-like storyline.

However, I found the game to be very short. The player is probably suppose to walk slowly around corners and drink in the atmosphere, but I found that I could cover more ground, and get around the lamp oil restriction, by constantly running.

I understand that running out of light is a game dynamic that's kind of scary and keeps you searching nooks and crannies for lamp oil, but they could have simply built the game around the Sanity Meter and it would have been just as tense, if not more so. I guess I should also add that my "sanity" level in the game was very inconsistent; it would come and go seemingly at random rather than something I felt like I had to maintain or manage.
