I saw the conference, it was funny as hell. dressed like monks they started with an apology "we have sinned,forgive us" while bowing their heads. I wish more publishers would have this sense of humor. They announced that their long term goal was to be the nr 1 alternative to STEAM so that's a pretty hefty goal.
Also I had games purchased and was not bothered by the site shutting down, but maybe that's because I always back-up my games. I can see though why some people were bothered. Still, love gog.com better than steam.
