The greatest gift any one has ever given me was the id collection bundle that came with every id game. This was around the time I finished 8th or 9th grade and I became an absolute quake addict (Doom 2 was the first PC Game I ever played in fact). I played Quake, Quake 2, Quake 3 off and on for about 10 years. I have spent more time playing the Quake series than I did playing MMO, easily.

I am one of id's biggest fans - I didn't like Doom 3 and never even finished it but it is still id. I don't give a FUCK what id does for the consoles. Make this game for the PC. Don't lose your roots. Far too many people have lost their roots (see Remedy).

QuakeWorld defined me as a person and it is a damn shame that we are at a point where id is more concerned about consoles than PC games it seems. All the rage news I've read has been about console games.

Give us this for PC - scrap the other shit. Your true fans are the only ones who matter.
