"""Now that the Supreme Court is hearing the case, the door has been opened for federally mandated regulation for the entire country"""

Really? How exactly is it that works? IANAL, however the claim that this case, regarding a *California* law somehow opens the door for *federal* mandates is sensationalist at best.

The supreme court does not *legislate* it interprets. And as of yet, no decision has even been rendered. Stating that the "door *has* been opened" is misleading and facetious.

At most, a decision by the supreme court *upholding* the law, will allow the law to be enforced, to its letter, *in the state of California*. It would not magically somehow open some non-existent door for *federal* regulations.

If the federal government really had a desire to begin controlling the sale of mature video game content, the "think of the children" types in the US congress and senate would have been all over it years ago, laws be damned.
