It's great to see some honesty...the reality of game development is that it's really difficult to estimate time and budgets. That said, many people set insanely unrealistic goals. For example, I used to work at a company that is shipping a game almost a year later then the original date. I remember we didn't even have a playable game over 7 months into the project and then the manager returns from vacation and declares we are shipping in 2 months.
And of course, everyone focuses on how difficult it isto estimate (which it is), and nobody focuses on how obviously unrealistic the milestones are.
