I know the word "genius" is thrown around to the point where it has has lost all meaning, especially when it comes to music, but I'd like to know a musician working today that you would consider a true musical genius. Bonus points for links.
My choice at the moment is the French composer
Yann Tiersen. You probably know him as the guy that did the Amelie soundtrack. I can and have listened to his music for hours on end. I've probably listened to the Amelie soundtrack more than any other album in my life. His work beyond Amelie is also brilliant.
