Dead Rising was the reason I got a 360 back in '06. It's also the reason I got a HDTV (so I could read the text!). Having said that, I never got around to finishing the game. It was fun and enjoyable (particularly once I could read the text and see what I was supposed to do), but it just had so many flaws. The controls were very sluggish, aiming was horrid, how communication with Otis was handled, the goofy navigation arrow and it's weirdness, the quirked save system (personal preference I admit, but they could have made that work despite one save per profile), it list just goes on and on.
I have hopes for the second one, especially since it's gonna be on the PC, but I'm gonna wait to see what my fellow Shackers think rather than a blind purchase.
