Is there a similar law in California (a government-enforced law, not a movie theater policy) against admitting minors to gratuitously violent films like those that made the Governor famous?

How about a law forbidding minors from buying extremely violent books, like the bible, or Lord of the Rings, or the Butter Battle Book?
