Testing can be fun if you actually believe in the role of "Quality Assurance."
If you see the job as "play broken game and type stuff into a database" then it's boring.
If you see it as "evaluate a work-in-progress and find ways to make it better" then it's lots of fun.
Even better is having the guts to raise hell on issues you really believe in. Then, not only is it fun, but you are taking personal responsibility for the quality of the game.
Push hard, and be willing to admit it when you're wrong. If that sounds paradoxical, well, it is. Most worthwhile things in life are challenging. :)
