why does Blizzard assume that most gamers want to be "connected" all the time? 90%+ of the ppl i encounter in online games are ppl i never want to interact with again. also, that not every gamer will have internet access at all times. i've been to quite a few LANs with no internet access, or internet that's so slow it's pointless. this "no LAN" decision seems like it came from a person who has no idea of the impact it will have.
while i will most likely buy the game, i'll also be the among the first to use the LAN hack. to think that they can prevent LAN play is pretty funny to me. it's just another way to alienate their core customers and ultimately lose money in the end.
