The LAN thing doesn't really bother me. The LANs I go to always have internet access, otherwise I'm at home playing online anyways. I just got back from Quakecon and the Steam ports were blocked and I needed to authenticate with Steam before launching in offline mode. That was about 7 games out the window that I planned on playing. Ohwell, I moved onto other games, mainly Quake Live. I guess it's the new cool thing to bash on Blizzard. Whatever, at least they stick to PC games.
