It's a shame that this trend is getting worse. The first game I played with in-game advertisements was Anarchy Online, and although it sucked having to listen to loud, intrusive videos, there was a nice catch; They let you play the game for FREE with the ads running, and if you subscribed (it's an MMO) you could disable them! *That* I can understand and appreciate. This crap, however, is just another way for the publishers/developers to line their pockets without giving back to the players. This one is particularly slimy since the ads were added long after the game was released. In other words, ad-opposing fans can't voice their distaste by not buying the game in the first place. Screw job.
