Just saw the new Harry Potter.
The Good:
It was free
I watched it during work time so I was kinda getting paid
I got free Popcorn and a drink
The CG was beautiful
There were some really nice sets and shots
Snape
There was a little bit of humour that was actually fairly funny.
The Bad:
I've not seen any of the others and only read the first book. The whole film is focused on the teenage love drama angle which I really had no interest in. There was no "previously on" so I didn't really know much about anything.
The film was pretty anticlimactic. Nothing really happens until the end and then it just kinda ends. Snape kills Dumbledore!
It's very child friendly - far too much so for my taste.
I'm not sure if the story made no sense because I didn't know anyone or if I was just missing something or what but basically the "half blood prince" of the title didn't really have much to do with anything. Harry had the book, used the book to make some potions and then it was decided it was bad and had to be hidden so he wouldn't be tempted (by what I'm not sure). What is a half blood prince? What is snape the prince of?
It felt very slow. The middle was a whole lot of build up and teen drama that seemed to amount to jack shit.
