This is smart.
Now they don't have to compete for marketing and shelf space against what is probably a surefire million seller in Call of Duty. And they get some more time to polish the game. And, they can get further away from Bioshock 2, which is either good because they could distance themselves from a smart-shooter gone wrong, or distance themselves from a holiday season with way too many good titles for them all to sell a lot.
Additionally, what else is coming out in March to compete with?
I don't really see any downsides to this.
