This is a mystery. Salman Rushdie is a highly celebrated author, winning countless awards, rave reviews from critics and sells in large numbers.
But who actually reads his books? I do, and love them. No one else my age has ever read even one of his books, yet he is a best seller. People must just buy his books cause a trendy mag says they should and never actually pick the book up.
Pity though, cause his writing has gotten even better in recent years.
