If I wanted to buy Halflife purely for the sake of owning a bit of gaming history, I'd rather track down a used physical copy somewhere. Owning the right to download the game off Steam just doesn't seem the same.

Either way, I'd probably never play it again, and I can't exactly show off my how cool my Steam game list is to other people.
