I seem to recall something similar existed in GT3 - you could link together like 9 PS2 units with 9 TV's and 9 copies of GT3 and run the game in a "palladium screen" mode (i.e., if you positioned the 9 TV's in a 3x3 grid you could run it on one "giant" screen).

I can't find any info on this through Google and I don't think I ever heard of anyone who tried it but I think this was in GT3 if you were crazy enough to want to do it.
