I got my Wii on launch day intending it to be my sole console for this generation. About 1 year later I got a 360 and that's pretty much all I play now. The Wii gets powered up when company comes over, otherwise it sits dormant.
If you are a hardcore gamer, the graduate reference really rings true. If you're a casual gamer then the reference is not meant for you.
